I tried making pasta in June, but it sure didn’t turn out like this. Seriously…this meal was the real deal. Starting with oversized, homemade ravioli generously stuffed with ricotta, then topped with pumpkin, zucchini, tomatoes and pistachios. I have La Pignata to thank, one of the top-rated restaurants in Ariano Irpino.
Although home to only 22,000 residents, Ariano Irpino is the second largest city in the Avellino Province, due to the predominance of small towns. It’s about a 90-minute drive from Naples, but trust me the food is worth it.
